BPK Gunung Mulia was established in October 31th 1946. The mission is to assist the Churches, Theological Colleges/Universities and Christian Community in supplying the needed reading materials:

Readings that stimulate and represent the Participation and Ministry of the Church in Development of the Nation.

During more than 56 years we have published thousands of books for pastors, theological students, church leaders and teachers, Sunday School teachers, church members (men, women, youth and children). We produce books for nurturing of church leaders, members, Church Women and Christian families. Types of books include Christian and Theological education, catechism classes, choirs, church music, School Books, family education, general knowledge and living in society. However we are aware that what we have done until now is still only a small portion of all needs. Society and church members increasingly need books that can supply answers to problems created by modernization, especially the impacts of globalization and telecom technology.

Our aim is to prepare readers who would grow contextually on their theological stand point, who are able to proclaim the truth of God and answer various questions and challenges with an understanding of Gods Word in their own lives, in their families, in society, church and country.

As a publisher our task is to provide facilities to discover and stimulate various types of testimony and thoughts, publish them in books and distribute them to the widest possible readers group. Good cooperation with the church, especially in the aspects of publishing, writing, and distribution should be maintained.
